Established in 1983, Vintec Laboratories is one of the longest standing Asbestos Testing firms in the UK. With decades of experience in asbestos compliance solutions, we are dedicated to protecting people from asbestos exposure. Our vision is to make everybody safe and knowledgeable about the asbestos around them.

Vintec provide a full range of specialist services to both commercial and domestic customers, including: Asbestos Consultancy, Asbestos Testing, Asbestos Surveys, Asbestos Air Testing and DIY Asbestos Testing Kits. Other services that we offer consist of Asbestos Management, Removal Management, Asbestos Advice and Guidance , Lead Testing and Anthrax Sampling.

Our History

We’re proud of our independence, with all of our Asbestos Testing carried out at our state-of-the-art in-house laboratory. Vintec sets the standard for professional, impartial service by ensuring the whole Asbestos Testing process is undertaken by our specialist team.

1983
Vintec is born
Started trading, initially as a chemical testing laboratory.
1983
First testing
First significant  asbestos testing job at the English Folk Dance & Song Society.
1988
ISO Accreditation
Vintec awarded accreditation for asbestos fibre counting testing and analysis – ISO17025.
1996
Purpose built laboratory
Vintec converts farm buildings in Kings Langley into purpose built office and laboratory space.
2004
Pilot programme
Vintec participates in the UKAS pilot programme for 4 stage clearance accreditation.
2006
Early stage 4 clearance
Vintec amongst first batch of labs to be granted 4 stage clearance accreditation.
2006
Move to Watford
Vintec relocates to our current location on the prestigious Building Research Establishment site in Garston, Watford.
2015
Mobile labs
Vintec launches it’s mobile lab fleet for sites requiring an immediate turnaround of asbestos air testing results.
2017
Asbestos Management Portal
An early adopter, Vintec goes fully automated with our cloud-based Asbestos Management Portal.
2019
Lead Services
Vintec diversifies and completes first Lead Surveying and Testing job.
